First of all I need to make it clear that the free crochet patterns linked here are not my own. (except for one) This is a directory of free crochet patterns that I have gathered over the last 11 years and that I continually update. Hopefully I have done the hard work for you by locating and organizing the links so you can find the perfect pattern you want to crochet - for free. That being said, don't discount paid for patterns and supporting the designers who offer these freebies for our benefit.
Secondly if while browsing through the free patterns you find something you like but are not interested in making right away, save it anyway! Save it to your own computer so you will have access to it when you are ready. One very good reason to do this is that websites and patterns come and go. You just never know if something is going to be there when you come back 3 or 6 months later.
Thirdly please be mindful of copyrights to these free patterns. Most designers state exactly what you can and cannot do with their patterns, so please respect that.
